Alix Provence Weddings

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve gathered here the answers to the questions I’m most often asked.

When should I contact you to plan my wedding?
There is no hard and fast rule, but the earlier you get in touch, the more choice we will have when it comes to venues and vendors. Ideally, I recommend contacting me 18 to 24 months before your wedding for full wedding planning. Provence is a very sought-after destination! And if your wedding date is sooner, don’t hesitate to get in touch, every wedding is different!
What types of weddings do you plan?
I plan luxury weddings of all sizes and in a variety of locations throughout Provence, always with the same goal: to create a celebration that feels truly yours and reflects your story, your wishes and the way you want to celebrate.
Do you receive a commission from the vendors you recommend?
No. I do not receive any commission from the services provided by my partners. Vendors are selected first and foremost for their expertise, professionalism and suitability for your wedding. My trusted network is there to give you access to reliable professionals, with complete transparency.
Can I hire you just for the wedding day?
Absolutely. If you would like to plan your wedding yourselves but want to make sure everything is perfectly orchestrated on the day, wedding day coordination is the service for you. We will work together on all the final details beforehand, so you can fully enjoy your wedding day.
Do you offer fully bespoke wedding planning?
Yes. Every couple has different needs. I can support you throughout the entire planning process or step in at specific stages, whether that’s finding vendors, managing your budget, creating your timeline, handling logistics or coordinating your wedding day. Together, we define the level of support that feels right for you.
Do you work with your own vendors?
I have a trusted network of vendors I regularly work with. I recommend those who genuinely match your wedding, style and budget, while of course remaining completely open to your own research and recommendations.
What areas do you cover?
I am based in Avignon and work throughout the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region and surrounding areas, including Vaucluse, Gard, Drôme, Bouches-du-Rhône, Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Alpes-Maritimes. Depending on the location of your wedding, travel and/or accommodation fees may apply. These will, of course, be clearly outlined in your proposal beforehand.
Do you also plan destination weddings?
Yes, absolutely! Although I am based in Provence, I am open to destination wedding projects. If you dream of celebrating your wedding somewhere special, get in touch and we can create the right level of support for your plans together.
Do you take care of alcoholic beverages?
I can advise you on the quantities to plan for, recommend specialised vendors and coordinate their delivery to the venue as part of the concierge service. However, the purchase of alcoholic beverages remains the responsibility of the couple.
Can you help me find wedding vendors?
Yes. Depending on the service you choose, I can support you with finding, selecting and coordinating your various vendors, including your venue, caterer, photographer, florist, décor team and more.
What happens during the first contact?
Everything starts with an initial video call or phone call, lasting around one hour, so we can get to know each other and talk about your wedding plans. It also gives me the opportunity to understand your expectations and see how I can best support you.
How are your fees calculated?
As every wedding is different, I provide personalised proposals. Your fee will depend on factors such as the service you choose, the number of guests, the length of the planning support and any specific requirements related to your wedding.
Do you also support multi-day weddings?
Yes. Full wedding planning includes support from the day before the wedding through to the day of the brunch. For multi-day coordination, I will provide a personalised proposal based on your needs.
Why hire a wedding planner?
Because you shouldn’t have to carry the entire planning process on your own. My role is to save you time, guide you through your decisions, anticipate the unexpected and coordinate all the different vendors and professionals involved, so you can fully enjoy this wonderful journey without the planning taking over the pleasure of preparing for your wedding.

Get in touch so we can create a personalised experience together and bring your vision to life, down to the very last detail.
